Logic from the Left Coast

Hi there - I just downloaded smart tunes and am trying to play music from the ipod when in sleep mode.. when i go to set up the sleep profile, and select radio to play, then click on iPod, the entire ipod table list is blank. i have about 800 songs on on my ipod so this shouldnt be the case..  Actually what i would really like to do is listen to a podcast in sleep mode.. this should work via the ipod, right??? Please help!

I am running an iphone 3gs with OS 3.0.
